Fourth of July WKMS

The Murray-Calloway County fireworks display has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 5th after 9 p.m. We have no word from surrounding counties. See more Sunday events below.

July 5th Events


Dover


Fort Donelson National Battlefield, National Parks Service , Army-Navy Exhibit
9 AM to 4 PM. Civil war period artifacts, replicas of ironclad gunboats, naval and army equipment, and personal items of Civil War soldiers. Updated from last year. Free exhibit for entire July 4th weekend. 931-232-5706 www.nps.gov/fodo


Eddyville


All day celebration

All day celebration with BBQ, gospel music in the afternoon and the Rocky Creek Band from 7 til 9 with fireworks beginning at 9:30. This is Sunday the 5th.


Hopkinsville


Western KY State Fair- July 3-11

Some Gave All Rally, Thur. July 2nd, 5 pm- Christian County Justice Center


Lake Barkley


Thunder Over Eddy Bay

Fireworks display can be reached via shuttle buses at West Kentucky Outlet Mall parking lot at 5 p.m. or by water at mile marker 46.4 on Lake Barkley. Fireworks will begin just after dusk. Entertainment, games and food will be available in the Eddy Creek Marina Resort parking lot.

Freedom Fest – Sunday
9 a.m. Freedom Fest Invitational at Murray parks.
1 p.m. Hazel Dealer’s Choice Sale in Hazel.
3 p.m. Family Day in the Park at Central Park.
6 p.m. Murray Bank Gospel Explosion at Central Park Amphitheater.
8 p.m. Woodmen of the World Flag Ceremony.
The Miss Firecracker Contest is playing at 7:30 p.m. at Playhouse in the Park. Located in Central Park, corner of Arcadia and Eighth streets.


Paducah

Paducah events all week:
-Purchase fresh cut flowers to celebrate the holiday weekend!
-Purchase fresh produce from your local Farmer's Market, and from the local shops which stay open late!

-Create your own masterpiece on the streets with chalk!
Reminders: For everyone's protection, ALL dogs must wear a muzzle and be on a leash no longer than 3 feet long, when attending the event. Open muzzles can be purchased downtown at Market @ 315 and Wildhair Studios , & at Gallery 5 in the LowerTown Arts District.
No Parking on Broadway from River Street to 5th Street after 6 p.m.
