Help WKMS cover your community
Interested in gaining valuable broadcasting experience

and helping out your public radio station?

Join our award-winning news team!

WKMS Community CorrespondentWe're establishing a new volunteer program of WKMS News Community Correspondents. Currently our signal covers almost 8,000 square miles, and with only one full time reporter and three student/part-time reporters, we need you.

We want to begin with correspondents in Madisonville, Paducah, Paris TN, Hopkinsville and Mayfield. We want to hear your community's thoughts on issues of your interest. We need your help identifying people in your community whose perspectives would help focus our coverage of these issues.

You will receive training and equipment to produce and file stories for WKMS broadcast without having to travel to our Murray studios. If you're interested in becoming a member of the WKMS News Community Correspondent Volunteers please email wkmsnews@murraystate.edu or call 270-809-4666.

If you'd like to volunteer for our fundraisers or any other aspect of WKMS, visit our volunteer page.
