WKMS accepts student applications throughout the academic year.  There are several student employment positions at the station with openings occurring from time to time.  All of the station’s student jobs involve expectations of professional level work in all facets of radio including:  production, development, administration, and engineering.

Most of the student positions/internships are remunerated on a scale starting with minimum wage and increasing with experience and academic progress. The station encourages students who are interested in public radio work to visit the station on the 8th Floor of Price Doyle Fine Arts Building.  Pick up a student application form from Kathy Thweatt, room 817.
