Democrat Gerald Watkins won the third district seat which includes much of McCracken County. Current 3rd district representative republican Brent Housman didn't seek a second term.&nbsp; Watkins won the race with 59 percent of the vote. Watkins is a Paducah native and has served on the Paducah city commission for six years. He says,</p><p><em>“I think the people of Paducah and McCracken County recognize the hard work that I have done and feel like and have the confidence that I’ll do a good job in Frankfort.
