To celebrate the event, the Nature Station at Land Between the Lakes held their own, much slower race: the Kentucky Turtle Derby. WKMS Youth Reporter Aaron Sikkel covered the event and sat down with Naturalist Aviva Yasgur to learn about how turtles contribute to the region's ecosystem. Nine-year-old WKMS Youth Reporter Patrick Jones scored an interview with one of NFL's most famous official referees, Ed Hochuli. He was ranked by ESPN as one of the best referees in the business. More recently, you'll find him on the cover of the October issue of Sports Illustrated.
