All About the A.W.E. Early Literacy Station at McCracken Co. Public Library

Kate Lochte speaks with McCracken County Public Library’s Director Julie Hart on Sounds Good. The Library has added a new computer system designed for children ages 2 to 8, the A.W.E. Early Literacy Station. This is a new service at the library where children can play educational games on specialized computers, geared towards learning math, reading and language skills. Lin Oliver is the author of the Who Shrunk Daniel Funk series, and the co-author, with Henry Winkler, of the bestselling Hank Zipzer series. She is a writer and producer of movies, books, and television series for children and families. The co-founder and executive director of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, she lives in Los Angeles with her husband and sons. Hopkins County Celebrates Literacy March 4-9

The Hopkins County Literacy Celebration is March 4 through 9th. Schools are getting books written by Lin Oliver and Henry Winkler, as well as Linn Oliver and Theo Baker. Author Lin Oliver visits for a Chamber Hot Topic Lunch and there's a short story contest for students.
