Benton, KY – Kentucky State Police officers today arrested two Marshall County residents on abuse charges following a five-month investigation. A grand jury indicted Brittany Jennings and Dexter Fletcher for the criminal abuse of an infant. The indictment follows a five-month investigation that started after Western Baptist Hospital staff alerted detectives of an infant with multiple injuries. Jennings and Fletcher are lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.

Madisonville, KY – The Hopkins County Emergency Management Agency is seeking a new director. Judge-Executive Donnie Carroll says Broc Oglesby stepped down last week, citing health concerns and a desire to focus on his family. Oglesby had worked for the county for 19 years. Carroll says the county will begin advertising for the post next week. He says he hopes to fill the position by July. EMA deputy director Frank Wright has taken on the post in the interim.
