It's Fundraiser Time, so Pledge Now!

Our spring fundraiser pledge cards have now been mailed to our generous supporters throughout the Four Rivers region! Now is the time to make your pledge by mail to help shorten the on-air portion of the fundraiser which is set for March 3-10. We appreciate your support, which is vital for the well-being of your source for in-depth news and a variety of entertainments.

If you haven't received your pledge card, call us at 800-599-4737. This will help us troubleshoot our database system more effectively. You can also pledge online at wkms.org, where you can select from the same selection of thank you gifts offered during the on-air part of the fundraiser; and, as you'll see in the article below, pledge online before March 10, and your name is entered in a drawing for a new iPod Nano!

Our goal for listener support is an historic one that coincides with 2007, marking the year of WKMS adding a digital signal to its transmission chain. In order to pay costs for programming, personnel and technology to split the digital signal into two programming streams, we have set the spring goal for listener support at $100,000. Thanks again for your belief that WKMS is public radio worth supporting!

WKMS Needs VOLUNTEERS!

We need your help this fundraiser! Be a part of the action as we kick off the on-air portion of our 2007 spring pledge drive. We need volunteers, people just like you, to record your personal accounts of why you listen to and choose to support WKMS. We also need volunteers March 3-10 to take pledge calls from WKMS listeners. We'll make sure you have training and refreshments!

To volunteer and help sustain WKMS' first-rate programming, excellent music, and in-depth news reporting, contact Stephanie Nutter-Osborne today at
800-599-4737, or click here to email her.

We can't do without you! Thanks!

Saturday Night Programming Schedule Change!

Saturday Nights - Stateline Blues 7-9, Beyond the Edge 9-12, Indie Connection 12-1AM, BBC 1-6AMOur Saturday night schedule is changing, effective Saturday, March 3. We thank Jeff Dunman for his nearly 400 shows produced here at WKMS. This change in our schedule marks what we hope is a hiatus in his long-standing volunteerism rather than a conclusion to it.

Our Saturday night lineup as of March 3 includes Stateline Blues 7 to 9 p.m., Beyond the Edge 9 to Midnight, Indie Connection Midnight to 1 a.m., and BBC World News 1 to 6 a.m.

We appreciate the hundreds of hours Jeff has donated each year in addition to his personal investment in the music you’ve heard on Rockin’ Saturday Night.

You can see the entire WKMS program schedule at wkms.org!
