Congress has appropriated funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for grants to public radio stations this year - less a government wide rescission of 1.5%. Funding beyond this grant year is still a matter of discussion that you can follow at 170millionamericans.org.

The U.S. Congress has already cut the funding we have always used for assistance in matching local funds for equipment replacement and the expansion of signal reach (e.g., 90.9 FM Madisonville and 89.5 FM Fulton). We must grow an equipment replacement contingency fund in addition to paying annual operating costs with your help.

We are also undergoing a programming review with a goal of cutting costs without diminishing the quality or appeal of the schedule you love.
