[Audio] Puppies Sound Good: Meet Pebbles

Kathy Hodge of the Calloway County Humane Society brings Pebbles the pug mix for a studio visit on Sounds Good with Todd Hatton.

Pebbles is between one and a half and two years old. She has a sweet temperament and is shy but fearful. Hodge says the soulful-eyed pup is probably used to being carried everywhere as she loves to be held. Pebbles is crate-trained and is working on house training, though she is trained with puppy pads. She is recovering well from a c-section she had three weeks ago to deliver five puppies. Pebbles’s profile is available at forthepets.org.

The next Doggie Day Spa is scheduled for February 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Carman Animal Health Technology Center. Dogs can receive and ear cleaning and nail trimming for $10, a bath for $8, or the works for $15. The Humane Society will also be available to microchip pets for $10. Hodge says chipping your pets can help you find them in the event they run away or are lost in severe weather.

Todd Hatton hails from Paducah, Kentucky, where he got into radio under the auspices of the late, great John Stewart of WKYX while a student at Paducah Community College. He also worked at WKMS in the reel-to-reel tape days of the early 1990s before running off first to San Francisco, then Orlando in search of something to do when he grew up. He received his MFA in Creative Writing at Murray State University. He vigorously resists adulthood and watches his wife, Angela Hatton, save the world one plastic bottle at a time.
A proud native of Murray, Kentucky, Allison grew up roaming the forests of western Kentucky and visiting national parks across the country. She graduated in 2014 from Murray State University where she studied Environmental Sustainability, Television Production, and Spanish. She loves meeting new people, questioning everything, and dancing through the sun and the rain. She hopes to make a positive impact in this world several endeavors at a time.
