Registration is open for the library’s Community Read of the late Sid Easley’s book A Courthouse Tragedy, set in Mayfield where the newly elected sheriff is shot on the courthouse steps by his deputy sheriff and best friend. The library has two more Community Reads planned for January and April.
The Friends of the Calloway County Public Library host their annual meeting this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Duane Bolin is schedule as a guest speaker. The library has events and activities planned throughout the fall and holiday seasons, including yoga classes, Zumba classes, a book binding workshop, Movie Mondays for 4th through 8th grade students, free computer classes, an author visit, a Christmas open house, and numerous book clubs.
