Kentucky voters who wish to be members of different political parties in the 2019 elections must change their registration by Dec. 31.
Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes said voters who change party affiliation after the deadline are not eligible to vote in partisan races in the Primary Election. The deadline also affects prospective candidates in the 2019 elections.
Voters can verify their registration status at GoVoteKY.com. County clerks must receive by Dec. 31 registration forms submitted by mail, in person, or electronically.
The 2019 race in Kentucky includes Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Auditor, Treasurer and Agriculture Commissioner.
