Election Results Stand
By Carrie Pond
Paducah, KY – After a recanvass of votes Thursday, election officials say the results in the Paducah Mayoral race stand. The recanvass in the McCracken County Courthouse upheld the number of votes for City Commissioner Robert Coleman and incumbent Mayor Bill Paxton. Coleman had requested a recanvass after losing by a mere 48 votes to Paxton last Tuesday. It is not clear if Coleman still plans to request a recount, which is a more exhaustive process than a recanvass.
