FedEx is delivering 500 Christmas trees to Fort Campbell soldiers this Saturday as part of the Trees for Troops program.

Since the program began in 2005, FedEx has shipped more than 176,000 trees to more than 65 bases in 17 countries.

Trees are first come first served for active duty soldiers or spouses with military ID. Web: The effort is also in coordination with the Fort Campbell Family and Morale Welfare and Recreation Program and the Fort Campbell Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers.

The trees will be at the Division Parade Field parking lot (47th St., 52nd St. and Desert Storm Ave.) 9:30 until 1:30 for junior enlisted soldiers, 2 to 4:30 for active duty soldiers.

Blankets and ropes to secure the trees are not provided.
