Ft. Campbell Soldiers Homeward Bound
By Carrie Pond
Ft. Campbell, KY – The first of several return flights of Fort Campbell soldiers is scheduled to land at the base on the Kentucky-Tennessee border. An advance group of 160 soldiers, known as a "torch party," will be arriving this afternoon from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division. The unit has been on a 15-month deployment to Iraq. The Army has not announced when the remaining soldiers are expected to arrive, but torch parties generally arrive several weeks in advance of the main redeployment.
