Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin is holding a community forum in Murray on Friday. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Murray City Hall.

At a community forum in Hopkinsville in May, Bevin discussed economic development, education funding and other topics following the groundbreaking of a $305 million aluminum facility in neighboring Todd County.

Korean auto parts maker DAE-IL Corporation broke ground this week on a $50 million dollar facility in Murray.

At a Republican meet-and-greet in Murray last March, a group of teachers challenged Bevin over the GOP plan to overhaul the state’s pension systems.
