Gov. Bevin To Hold Community Forum In Murray

Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin is holding a community forum in Murray on Friday. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Murray City Hall. 

At a community forum in Hopkinsville in May, Bevin discussed economic development, education funding and other topics following the groundbreaking of a $305 million aluminum facility in neighboring Todd County.

Korean auto parts maker DAE-IL Corporation broke ground this week on a $50 million dollar facility in Murray.

At a Republican meet-and-greet in Murray last March, a group of teachers challenged Bevin over the GOP plan to overhaul the state’s pension systems.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. He's served in a variety of roles over the years: as News Director March 2016-September 2019 and previously as the New Media & Promotions Coordinator beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
