The Graves County Sheriff's Department says the search continues for a young woman who went missing earlier this year

The department said in a release on Monday investigators discovered another lead in the Samantha Sperry case, tracked down possible evidence in another county and sent it to the Kentucky State Police lab. So far, 39 pieces of evidence have been sent to a lab for analysis, according to the department.

Police also described some aspects of the Sperry case. Her abandoned car was impounded the night she was reported missing on March 29. Searches began the next day.

Dusty Holder was allegedly the last person to see Sperry. He claimed that they had gone on a four-wheeler ride into the woods, got stuck and waited until morning to walk back. He said he last saw her walking south on State Route 131 while he headed north. Investigations found that there was only one set of footprints around the four-wheeler and coming out of the woods.

Rhen Hendrickson was also allegedly in the woods that night and told investigators he took some of Sperry’s belongings but lost them. Police say they later found these items with the assistance of a search party.

The sheriff’s department says they are still investigating and following leads.
