Outgoing Chair of Murray State University's Board of Regents Stephen Williams said the university is in "good hands" under the newly elected Board leadership.

The Board elected on Friday Susan Guess and Lisa Rudolph to the positions of Chair and Vice Chair respectively.

Rudolph is co-owner of Rudolph's Inc. and Rudolph Freight Inc. She and her husband founded the Four Rivers Foundation, providing opportunities for students in the far western river counties.

Guess' term expires in 2019. Rudolph's term expires in 2022.

Williams's parting message to the board was "do whatever necessary to keep the proud legacy of Murray State intact."
