Hopkinsville Community College interim President Patrick Lake says the search for the institution's next president will begin in earnest next month, with a national campaign advertising the position.
Kentucky Community and Technical College System President Michael McCall and others will then look at the pool of applicants and bring three-to-five finalists to Hopkinsville in November.
“The process that he has used recently has been very efficient and has not taken an extraordinary amount of time from beginning to end,” Lake said.
Previous HCC President Jim Selbe asked for a reassignment in February, following his reinstatement after a stint on unpaid administrative leave for employee misconduct. Selbe now works in the KCTCS central office.
