Hopkinsville Shopping Center Set for Completion this September

As a major shopping center nears completion in Hopkinsville, the economic outlook for Christian County looks encouraging.

The 200,000 square-foot Hopkinsville Towne Center is expected to bring 250 jobs to the area.

Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks said the positions will be mostly entry level but management opportunities will also be available. He said city officials are excited about the development.

“We’re hopeful that it will continue to help our community grow by providing more retail choices so that we can keep more of our local dollars local and hopefully help attract more shoppers from across the border in Tennessee and from Fort Campbell and just continue to help create a thriving economy,” Hendricks said.

The center will be located ten miles north of Fort Campbell at the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Lovers Lane. It will include Hobby Lobby, ULTA, TJMaxx and Hibbett Sports.

Hendricks said the completion date is set for early September depending on the weather.
