Inn Renovation Progress
By Angela Hatton
Paducah, KY – The second round of bids open this afternoon for renovations to Paducah's Executive Inn. Public Information Officer Pam Spencer says the city is hoping to receive bids under 3-(point)-8 million dollars, in line with previous estimates. The city rejected bids last month that would have put the project one million dollars over-budget. Despite delays, officials still expect to have the inn ready for the American Quilter Society Show and Contest in April. Spencer says Development Director Steve Doolittle will discuss the bid opening with the city commission tonight, but she doesn't expect the commission to take any action.
