Kenny Imes Coasts to Victory in 5th District Race

Twitter

State Rep. Kenny Imes of Murray has won a third consecutive term in Frankfort.

The Republican also served in the Kentucky House from 1972 until 1979.

Imes, who represents the 5th District, already has a busy General Assembly session next year, with seven bills pre-filed with his name as sponsor.

Imes defeated David Ramey, chair of the Calloway County Democratic Party. The final vote tally from Calloway and Trigg counties was 13,770 for Imes and 6,153 for Ramey. In fundraising, Imes outraised Ramey by around $40,000.
