The 2017 Kentucky General Assembly is scheduled to begin in the first week of January. The regular session starts January 3 and will last for 30 legislative days.
Sessions are half as long in odd-numbered years. The first four days will focus on electing leaders, adopting rules of procedure, organizing committees and introducing legislation.
