Kentucky State Police at Post 1 in Hickory held a dedication ceremony Monday for a memorial honoring two fallen Graves County troopers. The monument remembers Trooper Eric Chrisman and Joseph Ponder. Both troopers died in service last year.

Back of the Badge raised funds for the monument. Tony West of Springfield, Missouri created and donated a fire pit.

23-year-old Chrisman was fatally injured last June in a vehicle collision while en route to a reckless driving complaint. 31-year-old Ponder was fatally shot last September while conducting a routine traffic stop in Lyon County.
