KSP: Fatal Hopkinsville Apartment Fire Started At Stove

Police say the apartment fire Tuesday morning in Hopkinsville that left two dead started at the stove. 

Kentucky State Police said in a release on Friday that Arson Investigator Scott Steward determined the approximate origin of the fire.

Early morning Tuesday, at 4:04 a.m., Kentucky State Police received a call of a fire in apartment G7 at Woodland Heights Apartment. First responders found 25-year-old David Keys of New Albany, Indiana and 22-year-old Andra Pool of Hopkinsville.

Keys was pronounced deceased on the scene. An autopsy confirmed he died of smoke inhalation.

Pool was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was pronounced deceased Thursday afternoon.
