Police said in a release on Monday a preliminary investigation found 26-year-old Marque Riley of Oak Grove, Kentucky, was driving northbound and 17-year-old Asia Banks of Clarksville, Tennessee, was driving southbound.

Riley’s vehicle crossed over into the southbound lane and struck Bank’s vehicle in an offset, head-on manner. Riley’s vehicle exited the northbound shoulder and Banks’ vehicle exited the southbound shoulder and struck an embankment.

Riley was pronounced dead at the scene. Banks was transported to Tennova Hospital in Clarksville where she died from her injuries.
