KY Adjutant General Visits Iraq
By Todd Hatton
Murray, KY – Kentucky Adjutant General Major General Edward W Tonini is spending the week in Iraq visiting with Kentucky National Guard troops. Tonini says he has "an all new appreciation for the tremendously difficult job" the military is doing in Iraq. More than 300 Kentucky guardsmen are currently stationed there. Tonini says conditions have improved "as far as the level of hostility." But he says the "unbelievable heat" remains an enemy for the troops.
