Florence is currently a Category Four storm with 130 mph maximum sustained winds expected to bring dangerous flooding and storm surges to the coasts of Virginia and North and South Carolina. More than one million people have been ordered to evacuate.

Kentucky State Resort Parks are offering a discounted rate of $49.95 a night on lodge rooms, $69.95 a night for one bedroom cottages and $79.95 a night for two bedroom cottages.

These rates are available at all state resort parks until September 30. Those interested are asked to call the park front desk direct and present an out of state driver’s license at check-in.

Kentucky State Resort Parks offer discounted rates during times of adverse weather in and out of state-- a similar offer was presented for those fleeing Hurricane Irma in Florida last fall.
