Lake Barkley Bridge One Lane Today

The Lawrence Memorial Bridge over Lake Barkley at Canton is restricted to one lane today to allow deck patching and guardrail work. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Keith Todd says the restriction is expected to last until 3:00 p.m.

PCL Civil Construction is constructing a new bridge at the site which is expected to be open to traffic by October 2017. It will be built in a basket handle arch design to match the New Eggners Ferry Bridge over Kentucky Lake that is currently under construction at Aurora.
