Some counties in our region are declaring states of emergency to deal with damage from Wednesday's storms.
Judge Executives in Trigg and Marshall Counties made the declaration, which allows the county to enact their emergency plan and waive formal procedures for using equipment or funds to aid the public.
Calloway County Emergency Management Director Bill Call says the damage he’s surveyed doesn’t appear as severe as other counties, though three families east of Murray were evacuated from flooded homes last night and about 1,400 people are without power as of noon Thursday.
