McCracken County Inmate Missing from Work Detail
By Todd Hatton and The Associated Press
Police are looking for a McCracken County jail inmate held on theft and drug charges after he escaped from a work detail yesterday. Kentucky State Police say 20-year-old William C. Murrell was last seen just after two Tuesday afternoon at his work detail in Paducah. He's believed to have left the area on foot. Police say his green jail jumpsuit was found nearby, and officers are unable to give a current clothing description. Murrell is described as black, 5-foot-10 and 152 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact state police.
