By Carrie Pond
Paducah, KY – A Minnesota line worker helping restore power to Jackson Purchase Energy customers died this morning after being injured while on the job Tuesday night. Andrew Reichwein (RYKE-wine) suffered fatal injuries when a pole he was working on snapped and threw him to the ground. JPEC Employee Jimmy Johnson of Paducah also sustained minor injuries in the fall. Reichwein was an eight-year employee of Connexus Energy in Ramsey, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife Deena and his four-year-old daughter Alexis. JPEC has established a memorial fund for the Reichwein's daughter at Paducah Bank.
