Montgomery County Ranks Higher for Insured
By Jacque Day
Montgomery County – Montgomery County has more health-insured residents than most other Tennessee large-city counties, and also ranks higher than its surrounding communities. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle released information from the US Census Bureau stating nearly 14-percent of Montgomery County residents went without insurance in 2005, compared to Davidson and Shelby counties, which showed percentages of uninsured at above 16-percent. Surrounding Stewart, Houston and Robertson counties all exceeded 17-percent for uninsured. (Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle)
