The search committee for Murray State University's next athletic director is getting ready for the first round of interviews.
Regents Eric Crigler and Jerry Rhoads said in a Board of Regents meeting on Friday the committee has narrowed a pool of nearly 100 applications to around 15.
Telecommunication interviews will begin in early January. In-person interviews with finalists are planned for late January. Crigler said the committee hopes to identify an athletic director by February with a contract to the board for approval in March.
Rhoads noted some applicants have impressive credentials, including Duke, Stanford and UK.
