Murray State's MFA Program welcomes visiting writer: Heather Sellers
By Kate Lochte
Murray, KY – Murray's MFA in Creative Writing continues its 5 night Winter Residency Reading Series with story teller and writing teacher Heather Sellars says athletes are the best writing students because they're used to practice and rebounding from failure. She's reading from her works at Murray State Monday, Jan. 5. Sellers is a professor of English at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She's written books about the craft of writing, collections of poems, and short stories. She won an NEA grant for fiction and was part of the Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers program. Kate Lochte asks her to read a poem from her collection The Boys I Borrow.
