Pentagon Identifies Fort Campbell Soldier Killed In Iraq

The Defense Department says 34-year-old Taylor Galvin of Spokane, Washington was killed when his Blackhawk helicopter crashed in Baghdad Monday.

An Army special operations soldier stationed at Fort Campbell has died following a helicopter crash in Iraq.

The Defense Department says 34-year-old Taylor Galvin of Spokane, Washington was killed when his Blackhawk helicopter crashed in Baghdad Monday.

A Pentagon spokesman says while the cause of the crash is still under investigation, there’s no indication it was caused by enemy fire.

Three other soldiers were wounded in the crash.
