A Tennessee man has been arrested after authorities say he fired a shot when police tried to enter his apartment, then barricaded himself inside until police negotiators persuaded him to surrender.
Media outlets report that according to Clarksville police, 27-year-old Hasaan Slaughter faces several charges, including aggravated assault and domestic assault.
Police responded at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday to a report of domestic violence at an apartment. Slaughter allegedly wouldn't leave the apartment, and shot at officers when they attempted to enter.
Police called in negotiators and a tactical team, and later reached Slaughter by phone. He was taken into custody with no injuries around 7:30 p.m.
Police say they recovered a 9mm handgun from the apartment.
It's unclear if Slaughter has an attorney.
