By Carrie Pond
Frankfort, KY – Fellow Democrats unanimously selected Kentucky state senator Jerry Rhoads, of Madisonville, as Senate Minority Whip today. Senator Rhoads, who represents Hopkins, Muhlenberg and Ohio counties, replaces former Minority Whip, Hopkinsville Senator Joey Pendleton. Pendleton did not seek re-election. The legislature convened at noon today for a brief organizational session, which will conclude Friday. Legislators will return to Frankfort in February to continue the 30-day 2009 Legislative Session.
