A truly wonderful and heartwarming story and testament to what animals and humans are really capable of. This dog travels over 70 miles to be with a marine who he bonded with and that showed him kindness. Thru efforts made by caring people they were able to get Nubs to America where he now lives in California with the Marine. This dog rose above the hardships he faced, the desert, fighting for food and to stay alive to be with a marine. The Marine and his comrades were turned in for having a dog by others that were not in their unit because they are not supposed to have pets. The marines were faced with a big problem because they were told to get rid of the animal or else. Thanks to the Marines and their families and many other caring people they were able to raise enough money to get Nubs to America. This is a story that brings tears to my eyes because it’s such a happy and inspirational story. Reading this story makes me want to go hug my own dog.
