A U.S. Coast Guard spokesperson said the tugboat that sank near the Kentucky Lock and Dam on the Tennessee River has been salvaged.
The Paducah Sun reports the tugboat Tom Bussler was lifted out of the river and salvaged Friday night without any issues.
Bystanders notified the U.S. Coast Guard of the sinking two weeks ago. Two crew members were rescued and taken to Lourdes hospital in Paducah. Tom Bussler had 41-hundred gallons of diesel on board but there were no reports of an oil leak.
The Tom Bussler is owned by an Ohio-based marine service company, McGinnis Inc., and operated by National Maintenance of Paducah, a tugboat repair shop. The sinking is still under investigation.
