Trigg County is one of three more Kentucky communities certified as work ready.
Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet Secretary Hal Heiner said in a statement the county is now on the official list of Kentucky Work Ready Communities.
The certification means workers have the necessary skills to staff existing jobs and the ability to master technologies required by new jobs.
Bullitt and Montgomery are the other two counties now on the list.
Heiner says there are now a total of 29 work ready counties and another 39 are working toward the certification. He says the designation gives counties "a competitive edge" when they are trying to attract business and industry.
