UPDATE: Body of 101st Soldier Lost in Floodwater Identified

Update Wednesday:  The soldier recently recovered in a Fort Campbell creek has been identified as 34-year-old Spc. Dhaifal Ali of Arlington, Texas. 

Ali was assigned to the 372nd Inland Cargo Transfer Company, 129th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 101st Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade.

He joined the Army in 2013, graduated Basic and Advanced Training at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri, and arrived in Fort Campbell last February. An investigation is still underway.

Update Tuesday: The body of the 101st Airborne division soldier swept away by floodwaters Friday has been found.

The Army is withholding the soldier's name until next of kin is notified. 

The soldier was found 500 meters from a low water crossing over Little West Fork Creek at Fort Campbell. 

Fort Campbell and Montgomery County Emergency services aided in the search Friday evening. On Saturday, the operation changed from a rescue to a search and recovery operation.  

The incident is still under investigation.

The US Army says a search and recovery operation is underway for a Fort Campbell soldier who went missing last week.  

The as-of-yet unidentified soldier with the 101st Airborne Division was swept away by strong currents Friday at a low water crossing over Little West Fork Creek on Fort Campbell.  

The man was with two other soldiers from his unit before being swept away.  

The Army is investigating the incident.  

Multiple civilian and military agencies are aiding in the search operation.
