UK's Al Cross doesn't expect Donald Trump's Kentucky support to slip much in light of recent release of recordings

Kentucky Republicans are hoping to pick up four seats in the General Assembly to wrestle control away from Democrats.  Al Cross, Director of the Institute for Rural Journalism and Community Issues, says ten-year-old recordings of Trump’s sexual comments could shorten his political coattails, “What happened to him over the weekend makes it a little less likely that he’s going to have coattails to bring in a Republican House.  It certainly doesn’t rule it out.”

Cross says national polls in the coming days may offer a better view of that possibility.  The former political writer for the Courier Journal says Kentucky tends to reflect the national polling trends.
