Western Kentucky Volunteers on Standby for Inauguration
By Carrie Pond
Greenville, KY – Two Muhlenberg County residents are standing by to deploy with the American Red Cross in the case of an emergency at this year's Presidential Inauguration. Waymon and Lynette Jones have offered to man the Mid-west Kentucky Chapter's Emergency Response Vehicle and provide site support for law enforcement and other security personnel. Chapter Health and Safety Assistant Ike Standifird says there's no indication of a possible emergency, but the organization wants to be prepared because of the high volume of people attending the historic event.
