WKMS is mourning the death of volunteer music host Corbet Hall.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday 30-year-old Hall of Murray died from injuries Tuesday night after a vehicle collision on U.S. Route 641 and Main Street in Benton.
Hall was a co-host of ‘The Last Splash’ on WKMS.
Police say they responded to an injury vehicle accident around 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, 42-year-old Cristobal Granados Rodriguez of Liburn, Georgia, stated he was traveling northbound on U.S. 641 and passed through a yellow light at the Main St. intersection.
Rodriguez said Hall drove out in front of him and in his attempt to swerve, he struck Hall’s vehicle on the side.
Hall was transported to the Marshall County Hospital emergency room to be stabilized before being flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but died from his injuries prior to the air lift.
Police said Rodriguez was not injured. The investigation is continuing.
WKMS station manager Chad Lampe said station staff is deeply saddened by the loss.
