Incumbent Republican Kentucky State Senator Ken Winters has served in the senate since 2005, and he’s up for reelection in the first district, which includes Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Lyon, and Trigg Counties.  He faces Democrat Carroll Hubbard this year.  Angela Hatton sat down with Senator Winters and has this profile.

Carroll Hubbard has previously served in the Kentucky legislature and the US House of Representatives.  The attorney is now the Democratic nominee and he’ll face off against Senator Winters for the First District State Senate seat. Angela Hatton spoke with Hubbard about his plans for Frankfort.
