The number 16 ranked Murray State Racers dominated number 21 Saint Mary's in Saturday's ESPN Bracketbuster game at the CFSB Center. The 65 to 51 win brings the OVC regular season champion Racers to 26 and 1. Murray State wraps up its regular season on the road this week. They'll face Tennessee State Thursday and Tennessee Tech Saturday.
The last undefeated college basketball team in the country, the Murray State Racers, fell to Tennessee State last night at the CFSB center in Murray. The Racers lead for much of the game until the Tigers mounted a 21 to 7 run in the second half. The Racers failed to mount a last second comeback and ultimately lost 72 to 68. The Racers are now 23 and 1 on the season and still number one in the OVC. They take the court at the CFSB center again Saturday against Austin Peay.
The Murray State men’s basketball team remains at number 9 on the latest Associated Press poll following their wins over Southeast Missouri State University and UT Martin last week. This puts the Racers just ahead of powerhouses Michigan State and Duke. Murray State is still undefeated with 23 wins this season. They face off against Tennessee State at home Thursday at 7:00. Tickets still remain available for that game, but MSU's remaining Saturday Home games are sell outs, which include a match against Austin Peay and the Bracketbuster game against 16th-ranked St. Mary's.
