An electrical crew is checking navigational lights on the Lake Barkley Bridge at Canton this morning after the lights were reported to be out Tuesday.  Commercial traffic in the area was alerted after the outage was called in to the U.S. Coast Guard.

A lane restriction on a Ledbetter bridge undergoing repairs is being lifted for a day and a half starting Friday. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the lane restriction on the U.S. 60 Tennessee River Bridge that connects McCracken County to Livingston County will be lifted beginning this afternoon and is expected to return early Sunday.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet restricts traffic to one lane Tuesday on Interstate 24 near the Marshall-McCracken County Line. The lane closure will last through all daylight hours.

Continuing repair work on the Ledbetter Bridge restricts traffic to one lane starting Friday. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says the lane restriction will be in effect around the clock for about two weeks to repair concrete on the bridge. Todd says drivers should expect 5 to 7 minute delays.

There will be lane restrictions along Interstate 69, former Western Kentucky Parkway, between Eddyville and the Pennyrile Parkway beginning today. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials say contractors are upgrading overpasses and barrier walls to meet Interstate highway standards. Drivers should slow down and be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach marked work zones. Upgrade work is expected to continue into the summer with work zones in several locations.

A lane restriction begins tomorrow for work on the US 60 Ledbetter Bridge. Crews will work through April 13th to install a deck expansion as part of ongoing repairs to the bridge.  Highway officials say delays will be less than five minutes. Traffic on Interstate 69 will also see lane restrictions in Caldwell County starting Monday April 9.
