Paducah in 3rd Place in Contest to Premiere "Bully"

A contest is on to bring the controversial movie “Bully” to 10 towns around the U.S. for a free premiere and Paducah is one of the top contenders. The Demand It! contest website has Paducah in 3rd place for the movie, which goes to the top ten cities with the most votes. The contest ends Friday at 2 pm.

Paducah City Commissioners Go Back on Housing Contract

Paducah City commissioners last night rejected an ordinance that would have changed a property swap agreement with the city’s Housing Authority.  In May 2009, both parties agreed to exchange city property on H.C.

Local Televised Debate

Chamber of Commerce to Host Debate

The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a televised debate May 14th for candidates running in the primaries for mayor and city commission. The Paducah Sun reports the debate will be at 6 p.m. at Crounse Hall on the campus of West Kentucky Community and Technical College. Four mayoral and 19 city commission candidates registered for the debate. The debate will be broadcast live and replayed locally before the May 22nd election.
