Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns, lived just 37 short years, but left a powerful legacy of poems celebrating the folk songs of his native land and his own romantic expression. Master Robert Valentine, faculty member of Murray State University, publisher of Murray Life Magazine, and Scot, serves as Master of Ceremonies for a Robert Burns Supper Saturday, January 26 at the Murray Woman's Club House. He visited our Sounds Good Tuesday to talk about the poet and the dinner.
From heavy athletic competition to games for wee bairns, Saturday’s Murray Highland Festival connects us with all things Scottish. Murray’s Highland Festival brings Scottish experiences to Murray’s Central Park Saturday (October 27) from 9:30 a.m. to 4, closing with a Ceilidh (kaylee”) at the Big Apple Café at 7 p.m. Master Bob Valentine visits Sounds Good with an “insider” look at the Highland Festival Schedule, including music by Highland Reign.
